Two Paths, Both Clear

From assessment to first charge.

Most homes take the short path below. Some need two extra steps first. Either way: no surprises, no open-ended billing.

The standard path

No panel work, no utility coordination — usually done in a single visit.

1

Permitting

We file the local electrical permits required before any work begins. At cost — no admin markup.

2

Conduit & Wire Run

Heavy-gauge wire (6 AWG or thicker for future-proofing) run in protective conduit from the panel to the intended charging location.

3

Outlet or Hardwire

Install a heavy-duty NEMA 14-50 receptacle, or hardwire the Level 2 station directly into the safety disconnect switch.

Two extra steps, if your load calc needs them

These slot in right after permitting. See panel upgrades for how we tell whether your home needs them.

+

Service Upgrade

We coordinate directly with your utility provider to upgrade the overhead or underground power lines feeding the property.

+

Panel Replacement

Swap your old panel for a 200 A unit with specialized spaces for the double-pole breakers Level 2 chargers require.
